| Sniping |
Bidding at the last second to win the item before anyone else can outbid you. |
| Outbid |
Other buyer bids an amount higher then yours. |
| Max Bid |
After you bid, you can introduce a maximum bid you think you can afford. If other buyers will bid more then your initial bid but less then your Max. Bid, the eBay system will bid for you. |
| Shill bid |
A fake bid placed by a seller trying to drive up their auction price. |
| Non-paying bidder |
A bidder who wins an auction but doesn't pay to buy the item in the range of time you spell it out in your policy. |
